When I started blogging a few years ago, I had lighthearted plans to post about all of my domestic and creative undertakings. While I still plan to post about many of those things, I never planned to get personal. And yet, that is exactly what I feel I'm being called to do now. It's exciting and simultaneously terrifying. I'm very protective and private which makes sharing so much of our lives on the internet a huge step out of my comfort zone. But I realized a few things...
- I don't know how God intends to use our story, but I trust him with it.
- Life is messy and has a tendency to get off track (or so we think), but what God has allowed will most definitely be used for good to those who love him.
- We were not meant to carry our burdens alone. If our experience can provide hope and encouragement to someone, even just one person, it is so worth the stress of putting myself out there.
- It's not only my story! Our life over the last two years is very much a testimony of God's unfailing love and power.
So here I go. I'm jumping into the deep end of the pool knowing the Lord knows what he is asking.
