A journey of hope and healing after a decade of infertility and two maternal near-misses.

Maternity Photoshoot: For This Child I Prayed

The day I found out I was pregnant, I was at the local bookstore buying a pregnancy journal to document every aspect of our journey to parenthood.  I knew the details of these precious weeks would eventually fade with time and I would need help remembering.  I faithfully wrote in my journal each week.  I want to be able to tell our little one all about the miraculous details of his development and birth when he is older.

Since we are living in the Pinterest age, it's no surprise that part of my documentation process included a maternity photoshoot.  At first, I was indifferent to the idea of maternity photos but after reflecting on our long battle with infertility, I realized this pregnancy may very well be my one and only.  Add the near death experience from the pulmonary embolism episode to that and something in me wanted to preserve a part of this incredibly sweet, fragile and brief stage of life.

We spent an evening with Cayla, owner of C. Noelle Photography, at an arboretum over Labor Day weekend and the images she captured are just beautiful!  Even though my pregnancy was full of challenges, I see so much love, happiness, hope, joy and excitement in these images.  I just loved being pregnant!  I'm delighted that sentiment is reflected in these Pinterest worthy photos!

So what do you think?  Cayla is an amazing photographer, right??!?
